Soup really hits the spot on cold days. Granted, here in coastal Alabama, we’ve had a relatively mild winter, but we have had some nights where we had to take tender plants indoors. On nights like that, we enjoy making soup or chili. Last night it was spicy Black Bean Soup.
The first time I made this soup, it was delicious. The next time, I couldn’t seem to get it right, so I went through the spice cabinet, and added a little of this and a little of that. Bo was my taste tester. When it met the approval of both of us, we knew it was right.
